Temporary delivery delays

In the lead up to the busy Christmas period, Winc is experiencing temporary delivery delays to some orders picked, packed and dispatched from our NSW DC by 24-48 hours. Like many local logistics companies, Winc has been impacted by the tight labour market driven by border closures and rising consumer demand. In addition, international shipping delays, state border controls and limited flights are affecting the movement of goods. We apologise for any inconvenience. Our team is working hard to ensure your order is delivered as soon as possible. We recommend ordering a day or two earlier than usual wherever possible.

VIC and SA

Due to some temporary delays in our network, the delivery of some orders placed week commencing 29 November by VIC and SA based customers, may be delayed by 24-48 hours. We apologise for any inconvenience. Our teams are working hard to ensure your order is received as soon as possible.

Contactless delivery

Contactless deliveries are offered by all Winc drivers. This means keeping a distance of 1.5 metres wherever possible and signing for orders on behalf of every customer.

What Winc is doing to replace the waste

With the Single-use and Other Plastics Products (Waste Avoidance) Act 2020 coming into effect in South Australia from 1 March 2021, the ACT moving ahead with the Plastic Reduction Act 2021 on 1 July 2021 and QLD following suit with the Waste Reduction and Recycling (Plastic Items) Amendment Act 2021 on 1 September 2021, Winc is working with customers to promote and support better waste management practices. This includes:

  • No longer making the single-use plastics prohibited under the legislation available to customers in each jurisdiction
  • Encouraging the transition to the sustainable alternatives Winc offers

Where required Winc is also working with customers in the Aged Care and Medical sectors to ensure that single-use plastic items continue to be made available to people with a disability or medical need.

This legislation is a positive step to avoiding waste. Winc is committed to supporting customers with their sustainability goals. The full list of Winc’s sustainable options can be viewed here.
