The K3420, unlike a normal Cloth based Bookbinding tape, uses an acrylic adhesive as opposed to a rubber adhesive. This means it can be removed from hard surfaces and in the main will remove clean with no adhesive residue. This adhesive will also not bleed like a rubber adhesive when exposed to warmer temperatures and/or UV and thus will not show signs of ‘sticky edges’ etc over time. The acrylic adhesive also provides resistance to the plasticisers found in many vinyls and thus will provide a longer lasting and stronger bond in this application than a rubber based alternative. It is also the best option for repair of books etc in a library application. It is clear, easy to apply, hand tearable and can be cleanly removed from hard / shiny surfaces such as contact book coverings. A long lasting tape due to its acrylic adhesive system.
