The K750 product is produced with a rice paper backing (unlike a traditional masking tape that uses crepe paper) that is both, very thin which reduces and improves the painted edge line and also very strong, so easy to peel off surfaces. The paper is translucent so that you can see where the tape has been properly applied to a surface and where it has not, thus pressure can be then be applied to complete the lamination and seal the surface for painting. The backing paper can be written on with biro and texta and is thus a great product for use re ‘labelling’. The K750 also uses an acrylic adhesive system ( unlike a traditional masking tape that uses a rubber based adhesive system ) which means that this tape can be left in position outside with full exposure to the elements for 60 days plus and will clean release with no adhesive residue left on the surface (over 120 days when used internally). You can bend the tape and touch ‘adhesive to adhesive’ and pull the tape apart again. The tape is re-positionable, can be re-used and when laminated to delicate surfaces such as paper, the tape will remove cleanly with no residue and no tearing if a little care is taken.
